The Majestic Golden Buddha Statue: A Spiritual Haven in Da Lat

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the center of Dalat (near Xuan Huong Lake), head northwest on Tran Quoc Toan Street. Continue walking straight until you reach the intersection with Le Dai Hanh Street. Turn left onto Le Dai Hanh Street, and walk for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Hoang Van Thu Street. Continue for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will see the entrance to the Golden Buddha Statue on your right. Follow the signs to the statue.

• Cyclo

  Catch a cyclo (a bicycle taxi) from any point in the city center. Inform the driver that you want to go to the Golden Buddha Statue (often referred to as 'Tuong Phat Vang'). The ride will take about 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will likely know the way, but you can guide them by mentioning Phuong 8 area as your destination.

• Bicycle Rental

  Rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops in Dalat. Start from the central market area and head northwest along Tran Quoc Toan Street. Follow the same route as a walking guide: turn onto Le Dai Hanh Street, then onto Hoang Van Thu Street. Biking should take around 15-25 minutes, and you can enjoy the scenery along the way. Look for the signs directing you to the Golden Buddha Statue as you approach.

• Public Bus

  Take Bus Line 1 from the central bus station in Dalat. The bus will take you towards the outskirts of the city, and you will need to get off at the stop closest to Hoang Van Thu Street. Once you get off, walk towards Hoang Van Thu Street and continue until you see the Golden Buddha Statue on your right. Make sure to check the bus schedule as they may not run frequently.
