From Ha Long, head to the main bus station (Bến xe Bãi Cháy) which can be reached by local bus or taxi. Once at the bus station, take a bus heading to Hai Phong city. The journey will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arrival at Hai Phong city bus station, exit the bus and you can either walk or take a local taxi to the Hai Phong Opera House located at 28 P. Trần Hưng Đạo. It's about a 10-minute taxi ride or a 20-minute walk.

Take a ferry from Ha Long Bay to Hai Phong. Ferries operate from the Tuan Chau Ferry Terminal. The ferry ride will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Hai Phong ferry terminal, you can take a taxi directly to the Hai Phong Opera House, which is approximately 20 minutes away.
