Follow the path along the beach, which will lead you directly to the bay. The scenic route takes about 15-20 minutes on foot, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views of the sea and surrounding landscape.

• Bicycle Rental

  For a more leisurely approach, consider renting a bicycle. There are several rental shops throughout Bai Chay. Rent a bicycle for around 30,000 to 50,000 VND per hour. Once you have your bike, head towards the coastline and follow the road leading to Halong Bay. The ride will take approximately 10-15 minutes, and you can enjoy the fresh air and scenery along the way.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can take a local bus to Halong Bay, which is a cost-effective option. Look for the bus stop near your accommodation in Bai Chay. Buses heading towards Halong Bay run frequently and cost about 10,000 VND per ride. Board the bus and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Halong Bay. The bus ride will take around 5-10 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you get off, follow the signs towards the bay, which is just a short walk away.

• Motorbike Taxi (Xe ôm)

  For a quicker and more direct option, you can use a motorbike taxi service, known as 'Xe ôm.' You can find Xe ôm drivers around Bai Chay, or you can use ride-hailing apps like Grab. The fare will typically range from 20,000 to 40,000 VND depending on your starting point in Bai Chay. Just tell the driver you want to go to Halong Bay, and they will take you directly to the entrance. The ride should only take about 5-10 minutes.
