Getting There

• Public Bus

  From the center of Ha Long, locate the nearest bus stop and take Bus No. 14, which travels towards Bai Chay. Ensure you have some Vietnamese Dong for the fare, which is usually around 10,000 to 20,000 VND. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Get off at the Hòn Gai bus stop. From there, you can either walk or take a short taxi ride to your next destination.

• Walking

  After getting off the bus at Hòn Gai, head towards the waterfront. You can follow the signs that lead to Sun World. The walk is approximately 1.5 km and should take about 20-25 minutes. As you walk, enjoy the local sights and sounds, and be sure to check your map for directions towards X349+P4G, Hồng Gai. Keep an eye out for the Sun Wheel, which is a prominent landmark.

• Taxi or Ride-Hailing Service

  If you prefer not to walk, you can easily catch a taxi or use a ride-hailing app like Grab. Simply enter 'Sun Wheel, Hồng Gai' as your destination. The drive should take about 5-10 minutes. Ensure you confirm the fare with the taxi driver or check the app for the estimated cost beforehand.

• Local Scooter Rental

  For a more adventurous option, you can rent a scooter. There are several rental shops in Ha Long that offer scooters for around 100,000 VND per day. Once you have your scooter, navigate to the direction of Hồng Gai, using the address X349+P4G as your guide. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.
