Cyclo
To reach Tam Giang Lagoon from the center of Hue, you can take a cyclo (a three-wheeled bicycle taxi). Start at the Hue Imperial City, a popular tourist attraction. Ask the cyclo driver to take you to Tam Giang Lagoon, located approximately 15 kilometers away. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way, and don’t forget to take some pictures!
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, renting a bicycle is a great option to reach Tam Giang Lagoon. Start your journey from the Hue Imperial City. Head east on Le Duan Street, then turn right onto Nguyen Hue Street. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Tran Hung Dao Street. Turn left and follow the signs toward Tam Giang Lagoon. This route is approximately 15 kilometers and will take about an hour. Enjoy the lush landscapes along the way!
Public Bus
You can also take a public bus to Tam Giang Lagoon. From the center of Hue, head to the bus station located on Tran Hung Dao Street. Look for buses heading towards Phong Dien; they will pass near the lagoon. The bus ride will take around 40-50 minutes. Once you get off the bus, you may need to walk a short distance towards the lagoon. Be sure to ask the bus driver or locals for confirmation about the stop!
