Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Hanoi, take National Route 1A heading north. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Bac Ninh. Continue on the road for about 15 kilometers until you reach Thuận Thành. Follow the signs to Bút Tháp Pagoda, which is located at 326C+9VG, Bút Tháp, Thuận Thành, Bac Ninh. There is usually parking available near the pagoda.

• Bus

  From Hanoi, you can take a bus from My Dinh Bus Station to Bac Ninh. Buses are frequent, and the fare is around 50,000 VND ($2). Once you arrive at Bac Ninh Bus Station, you can take a local taxi or a motorbike taxi (xe ôm) directly to Bút Tháp Pagoda. This ride will take approximately 30 minutes and will cost around 50,000-100,000 VND ($2-$4).

• Motorbike

  For a more adventurous option, rent a motorbike in Hanoi. Follow the same route as the car directions: take National Route 1A to Bac Ninh, then follow the signs to Bút Tháp Pagoda. This ride will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Make sure to wear a helmet and carry your driver's license.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a direct route, consider taking a taxi from Hanoi to Bút Tháp Pagoda. This option will be more expensive, with fares ranging from 500,000 to 800,000 VND ($20-$35) depending on the taxi company and traffic conditions. The journey takes about 1 hour.
