Getting There

Walking
From the center of Sapa, head south on Thạch Sơn Street towards the Sapa Culture Center. Continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the junction at the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Lê Văn Tám Street and keep walking for another 200 meters. You will see a sign for 'Lào Cai' pointing to the left. Turn left and walk along the road for approximately 2 kilometers. Keep an eye out for local shops and eateries as you walk. Once you reach the border area, look for signage towards 'Đền Mẫu', which will be on your right.

Motorbike rental
Rent a motorbike from one of the rental shops in Sapa. After renting, head south on Thạch Sơn Street towards the Sapa Culture Center. Take a left onto Lê Văn Tám Street, and follow it until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit towards Lào Cai. Continue straight for about 2 kilometers. Watch for signs directing you to 'Đền Mẫu' on your right. The temple is located close to the Vietnam-China border, and there should be ample parking available.

Local bus
Locate the local bus station in Sapa, which is usually near the central market. Board a bus heading to Lào Cai. The bus ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Lào Cai, ask locals or look for signs directing you to 'Đền Mẫu'. It’s about a 10-minute walk from the bus station. You will need to walk along the main road, keeping the river on your left. Follow the signs, and you will reach the temple.

From your location in Sapa, you can easily find a taxi. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Đền Mẫu' in Lào Cai. The taxi ride should take around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your journey. The driver should know the location, but you can also show them a map or the address: 'GX48+W57, Lào Cai, Vietnam'.
