Walking
From the center of Sapa, head towards the Sapa Church. Walk along Le Van Tam Street until you reach the intersection with Muong Hoa Valley Road. Continue straight on Muong Hoa Valley Road for about 2 kilometers. You will come across several local shops where you can ask for directions. Once you reach the fork in the road, take the left path leading towards the Tam Duong District. Follow the road for another 5 kilometers until you see signs for Sapa Heaven Gate. The path will lead you uphill; keep walking until you reach the entrance of Sapa Heaven Gate, where you can enjoy breathtaking views.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from any of the local rental shops in Sapa. Start from the central square and ride towards the Sapa Church. Take a left onto Muong Hoa Valley Road and continue straight for approximately 2 kilometers. You will find scenic rice terraces along the way. After 2 kilometers, you will reach a fork, veer left onto the road that leads towards Tam Duong District. Keep cycling for about 5 kilometers, enjoying the views and stopping for photos as needed. Continue until you see the sign for Sapa Heaven Gate. The ride will be uphill, so prepare for a bit of a workout!
Motorbike (Rental)
Rent a motorbike from one of the rental shops in Sapa. Start by heading towards the Sapa Church, then turn onto Muong Hoa Valley Road. Ride for about 2 kilometers until you reach the fork in the road. Take the left path towards Tam Duong District. Continue riding for an additional 5 kilometers; the road will lead you through beautiful landscapes. Follow the signs for Sapa Heaven Gate, which will be on your left. The road can be steep, so ensure you ride cautiously.
Group Tour
Join a guided tour that departs from the center of Sapa. Most tours will meet at the Sapa Market or near the Sapa Church. Look for signs advertising tours to Sapa Heaven Gate. The guides will provide transportation, typically in a van or bus, and take you directly to the Heaven Gate with stops for photos along the way. Enjoy the scenic routes as the guide shares information about the local culture and landscape. This is a great option if you prefer not to navigate on your own.
