Getting There

  • Trekking

    From the center of Sapa, head towards the Sapa Market. Walk past the market and continue along Muong Hoa Street. After about 1 km, you will reach the trailhead for the Fansipan trek. Follow the markers along the hiking trail, which will lead you up through lush forests and terraced rice fields. The trek is steep and can take approximately 6-8 hours to reach the summit. Be sure to take breaks and enjoy the scenery. Upon reaching the top, you will be at the roof of Indochina, standing at 3,143 meters above sea level.

    From the center of Sapa, make your way to the Fansipan Cable Car Station, which is located about 2 km away. You can walk or take a local motorbike taxi (xe ôm).
