From Assateague Island, head northwest on Assateague Island Access Road (Route 611) toward the intersection with Route 175. Turn left onto Route 175 and continue to follow it as it leads you toward Chincoteague. After approximately 8 miles, you will enter the town of Chincoteague. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street and follow it until you see signs directing you to Chincoteague Beach. Continue on Beach Access Road for about 2 miles until you reach the beach access point at 8274 Beach Access Rd, Chincoteague, VA 23336. There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle for access to the beach.
