If you are starting from downtown Roanoke, VA, head northeast on S Jefferson St toward E Campbell Ave. Continue onto US-220 S/I-581 S. Merge onto I-81 S and continue on I-81 S for about 18 miles. Take exit 141 for US-220 S toward Rocky Mount. Follow US-220 S for about 8 miles until you reach the junction with Blue Ridge Parkway. Turn right onto Blue Ridge Parkway and continue for approximately 18 miles. Look for the Roanoke Valley Overlook on your left. There is no entry fee to access the overlook.
