From Chesapeake Bay region, you can take I-64 E towards Virginia Beach. Continue on I-64 E for about 10 miles until you reach exit 282 for US-60 E toward Virginia Beach. Merge onto US-60 E and continue for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto New Guinea Rd. Follow New Guinea Rd for about 1 mile until you reach the First Landing Cross. There is free parking available near the site.

For public transportation, you can take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus system. Start by finding the nearest bus stop and take the HRT Route 20 (Virginia Beach - Norfolk) towards the Virginia Beach Town Center. Transfer to Route 34 (Virginia Beach - Fort Story) at the Town Center. The Route 34 will take you close to Fort Story where the First Landing Cross is located. Please check the HRT website for the latest schedules and fare information; a one-way fare is approximately $1.50. After disembarking from the bus, you may need to walk approximately 0.5 miles to reach the First Landing Cross.
