From the center of Fredericksburg, head to the Fredericksburg Transit Center located at 1400 Jefferson Davis Hwy. Take the bus route that heads towards Spotsylvania Courthouse. You can check the current schedule for the bus times. After about 30-40 minutes, get off at the stop closest to Constitution Hwy. Walk along Constitution Hwy for approximately 15 minutes until you reach Ellwood Manor, which will be on your right.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Fredericksburg. Head south on Lafayette Blvd toward the Rappahannock River. Follow the bike path along the river until you reach the intersection with Route 3. Turn right onto Route 3 and follow it until you reach Constitution Hwy. Turn left on Constitution Hwy and continue for about 5 miles until you reach Ellwood Manor, which will be on your left.

For those who want to walk, you can start from the Fredericksburg Visitor Center at 706 Caroline St. Head south on Caroline St toward the Rappahannock River. Turn left onto the river walk path and follow it until you reach Route 3. Cross Route 3 carefully and continue onto Constitution Hwy. Walk along Constitution Hwy for about 5 miles, and you will find Ellwood Manor on your left. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
