If you are driving from anywhere in the Middle Peninsula, head south on US-17 S towards Newport News. Continue on US-17 S for approximately 50 miles, then take the exit for I-64 E toward Norfolk. Merge onto I-64 E and travel for about 15 miles. Take exit 284A for US-13 S/US-460 E toward Virginia Beach. Follow US-13 S for about 10 miles, then take the exit onto I-264 E toward Virginia Beach. Continue on I-264 E for about 10 miles and take exit 22 for Independence Blvd. Turn right onto Independence Blvd, then take a left onto Cheswick Ln. Ferry Plantation House will be on your right at 4136 Cheswick Ln.
Public Transportation
To reach Ferry Plantation House using public transportation, first take a local bus from your nearest bus stop in Middle Peninsula to the closest transit station that services routes to Virginia Beach. You can use the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) services. Once you arrive at the designated transit station in Virginia Beach, transfer to the 20 or 22 bus route, which will take you towards the vicinity of Independence Blvd. After getting off at the appropriate stop, walk along Independence Blvd until you reach Cheswick Ln. Turn left onto Cheswick Ln, and Ferry Plantation House will be on your right at 4136 Cheswick Ln. Please check the HRT website for specific schedules and fares, which may vary.
