If you're starting from the Newport News City Center, head northeast on 25th Street toward Washington Avenue. Continue on Washington Avenue, then turn left onto 31st Street. Walk straight until you reach the intersection with J. Clyde Morris Boulevard. Cross to the other side of the Boulevard and take the path leading into the park area. Continue towards Museum Drive, keeping an eye out for signs leading to Waterfront Park.

From the Newport News Transit Center, take the bus route that heads towards the City Center. Board the bus heading to the 'Newport News Park' stop. Once you arrive, walk east on Museum Drive. Follow the signs directing you towards Waterfront Park, which is accessible from the path along the water.
