Getting There

If you are driving, start from any location within Shenandoah National Park. Navigate to Skyline Drive, which runs the length of the park. If you are coming from the north, enter the park at the Front Royal Entrance. If you are coming from the south, enter at the Rockfish Gap Entrance. Once on Skyline Drive, head south towards Mile Marker 56. Bearfence Mountain is located near Mile Marker 56. Look for the Bearfence Mountain trailhead parking area on the right side of the road.
