From the center of Williamsburg, head east on Francis Street E towards the historic district. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles. You will pass several shops and restaurants along the way. Look for the sign for Bassett Trace Nature Trail on your left as you approach the intersection with the entrance to the trail located at 424 Francis St E. The entrance is marked, and you can easily access the trail from there.
Biking
If you prefer biking, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Williamsburg. Start from the Historic Area and head east on Francis Street E. Follow the bike lane for about 0.5 miles. You will see the entrance to Bassett Trace Nature Trail on your left at 424 Francis St E. There are bike racks available at the trail entrance to secure your bike while you explore.
Public Transport
For those using public transport, take the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA) bus. Board the bus heading towards the Historic Area and get off at the stop closest to Francis Street E. From there, walk east on Francis Street E for about 0.5 miles. Keep an eye out for the Bassett Trace Nature Trail entrance on your left located at 424 Francis St E.
