To reach the Bainbridge History Museum from Bellevue, start by making your way to the Bellevue Transit Center. From there, take the Sound Transit bus #542 heading towards Seattle. Get off at the Seattle Ferry Terminal. Once at the ferry terminal, board the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island. The ferry ride takes about 35 minutes and offers beautiful views of the Puget Sound. Once you arrive at Bainbridge Island, disembark and head northwest towards Ericksen Ave NE. The museum will be a short 10-minute walk straight ahead at 215 Ericksen Ave NE.
Public Transit
From Bellevue, make your way to the Bellevue Transit Center. Take the Metro bus # 253 towards Seattle. Get off at the last stop, which is near the Seattle Ferry Terminal. From there, catch the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island. After arriving at Bainbridge Island, exit the ferry and walk northwest towards Ericksen Ave NE. The Bainbridge History Museum will be located at 215 Ericksen Ave NE, approximately a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can ride from Bellevue to the Seattle Ferry Terminal. Start from Bellevue Downtown Park and head west towards I-90. Cross the bridge and take the bike path towards the Seattle waterfront. Once you reach the ferry terminal, lock up your bike and board the Washington State Ferry to Bainbridge Island.
