Getting There

  • Bus

    From Bremerton, you can take the Kitsap Transit bus route 5 towards Seattle. Board the bus at the Bremerton Ferry Terminal. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Get off at the 'Alki Beach' stop. From there, walk south on California Ave SW for about 0.5 miles until you reach SW Admiral Way. Turn left onto SW Admiral Way and continue walking for another 0.3 miles to reach Schmitz Preserve Park at 5551 SW Admiral Way.

  • Ferry and Bus

    Start at the Bremerton Ferry Terminal and take the Washington State Ferry to Seattle. Once you arrive at the Seattle Waterfront, exit the ferry and find the King County Metro bus stop. Take bus route 50 towards Westwood Village. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 'California Ave SW & SW Admiral Way' stop. From there, walk northwest on California Ave SW for about 0.2 miles, then turn left onto SW Admiral Way and walk for another 0.3 miles to reach Schmitz Preserve Park.

  • Walking

    If you're up for a long walk, you can start from downtown Bremerton. Head towards the waterfront and follow the scenic trail along the waterfront to the Bremerton Ferry Terminal. Then take the ferry to Seattle. Once you disembark, walk towards Alki Beach on California Ave SW, continuing for about 0.5 miles until you reach SW Admiral Way. Turn left and follow SW Admiral Way for another 0.3 miles to get to Schmitz Preserve Park.
