    From anywhere in Eastern Washington, make your way towards Interstate 90. If you're starting from Spokane, take I-90 W towards Seattle. Continue on I-90 for approximately 160 miles until you reach Seattle. From there, take I-5 N towards Everett. After about 30 miles, merge onto US-2 E towards Wenatchee. Keep driving on US-2 for about 70 miles until you reach the town of Leavenworth. In Leavenworth, follow signs to WA-207 N and then merge onto US-97 N. Continue on US-97 N for approximately 50 miles until you reach the town of Rockport. Once in Rockport, look for signs directing you to Ross Lake Overlook, which will be located approximately 10 miles east on Ross Lake Road. Note that this road may become gravel, so drive cautiously. There is no entrance fee to access the overlook.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are relying on public transportation, begin your journey by taking a bus from Spokane to Seattle through Greyhound or Amtrak services. Once in Seattle, take the Sound Transit bus or Link Light Rail to connect to Everett. From Everett, you will need to take a Greyhound bus towards Wenatchee. Once you arrive in Wenatchee, there are limited options for public transport to Rockport, so your best option may be to rent a car or use a rideshare service. When you reach Rockport, follow the same directions as above to Ross Lake Overlook. Be sure to check the schedules in advance as public transport options may vary.
