Getting There

• Bus

  From Kent Station, take the Sound Transit bus number 586 toward Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Seattle Central Bus Station. From there, transfer to bus number 5 toward Northgate and ride for about 15 minutes. Get off at the stop at 50th St & Phinney Ave N, which is a short walk from the Woodland Park Rose Garden. Head east on 50th St for about 0.2 miles, and you will arrive at the garden located at 750 N 50th St.

• Light Rail

  From Kent Station, take the Sounder or Link Light Rail to the University of Washington Station. This will take about 35 minutes. Once you arrive at the University of Washington Station, exit and walk north on 15th Ave NE until you reach NE 50th St. Turn left and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Woodland Park Rose Garden at 750 N 50th St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Kent. Start from Kent Station and ride north along the Green River Trail. Follow the trail until you connect to the Interurban Trail, which will lead you toward Seattle. Continue on the trail until you reach the Phinney Ridge neighborhood. From there, navigate to 50th St, and you will find the Woodland Park Rose Garden at 750 N 50th St. The entire ride is approximately 15 miles and may take around an hour depending on your cycling speed.

• Walking

  If you wish to take a scenic route through Kent, you can start by walking to the nearest bus stop and take bus number 586 to Seattle. However, if you prefer to walk, you can stroll through Kent by following local paths toward the Green River Trail and then head north. This is a longer journey of about 15 miles and will take several hours, so be prepared with water and snacks along the way.
