Public Bus
From downtown Seattle, head to the nearest bus stop and take Metro Bus Route 50 towards West Seattle. Stay on the bus for approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the 'Alki Beach' stop. From there, walk west along Alki Ave SW for about 5 minutes until you reach the Alki Trail entrance. Enjoy your walk along the scenic waterfront!
Ferry
Make your way to the Seattle Waterfront and find the Washington State Ferry terminal. Take the ferry to West Seattle (the Fauntleroy terminal). The ferry ride takes about 35 minutes. Once you disembark at Fauntleroy, you can either walk or take a short bus ride on Metro Bus Route 116 to Alki Beach. From the bus stop, walk west along Alki Ave SW for about 10 minutes to reach the Alki Trail.
Walking
If you are in West Seattle, you can walk to Alki Trail by heading to Alki Ave SW. Depending on your starting point, you can follow the local streets leading to Alki Ave SW. Once on Alki Ave SW, head towards the west, and you'll see the Alki Trail entrance. This is a great option if you are staying nearby!
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike rental shops in downtown Seattle. Once you have your bike, head towards the West Seattle Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow the signs to Alki Beach. Once you reach Alki Ave SW, you can ride along the waterfront to access the Alki Trail. The ride is approximately 4 miles and offers beautiful views!
