Getting There

  • Light Rail

    If you are near the University of Washington or Capitol Hill, take the Link Light Rail from the University of Washington Station or Capitol Hill Station towards SeaTac/Airport. Get off at the Westlake Station. From Westlake Station, exit the station and head southwest on Pine St towards 1st Ave. Turn left onto 1st Ave and walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the Seattle Art Museum at 1300 1st Ave.

  • Bus

    If you are near Pike Place Market, you can catch bus number 99 or any bus heading towards the 1st Ave & Seneca St stop. Once you get off the bus, walk south on 1st Ave for about 4 minutes, and you will arrive at the Seattle Art Museum located at 1300 1st Ave.

  • Walking

    If you are already in the downtown area, simply walk to the Seattle Art Museum by heading towards 1st Ave. From the Pike Place Market, head southwest on Pine St, then turn right onto 1st Ave. Continue walking south for about 10 minutes, and you will find the museum at 1300 1st Ave.

  • Ferry

    If you are coming from Bainbridge Island, take the Washington State Ferry to Seattle. Once you arrive at the Seattle Ferry Terminal, exit the terminal and walk east on Marion St. Turn left onto Alaskan Way, then walk north to the end of the pier. Turn right onto Columbia St, then left onto 1st Ave. Walk south for about 10 minutes until you reach the Seattle Art Museum at 1300 1st Ave.
