    If you're driving, start from downtown Spokane and head north on Division Street. Continue on Division as it becomes North Market Street. Follow Market Street until you reach the intersection with East Upriver Drive. Turn right onto East Upriver Drive. Continue east for about 3 miles, and you will see John H. Shields Park on your left at 5625 E Upriver Dr. There is parking available at the park. Note that parking is free.

    For public transportation, take Spokane Transit Authority bus number 23 from downtown Spokane. The bus departs from the Spokane Transit Center located at 701 W Riverside Ave. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop at East Upriver Drive & North Argonne Road. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to John H. Shields Park. Head east on East Upriver Drive until you reach the park entrance at 5625 E Upriver Dr. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most current times and routes.
