Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car, start from downtown Spokane. Head north on N Howard St toward W Riverside Ave. Continue onto N Division St. Merge onto US-395 N toward Colville. Take the exit for WA-2 W toward Airway Heights. Merge onto WA-2 W. Take the exit toward Little Spokane River Natural Area. Continue onto E Little Spokane Dr. Follow the signs to the parking area of the Little Spokane River Natural Area. There is no entry fee to access the area, but be mindful of parking regulations.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, take the Spokane Transit Authority bus route 25 from downtown Spokane. Board the bus at a nearby stop and ensure you get a ticket for your journey, which costs approximately $2.50. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop closest to the Little Spokane River Natural Area. From there, you will need to walk approximately 15 minutes along E Little Spokane Dr to reach the entrance of the park. Check the Spokane Transit Authority website for the latest schedules and route changes.

• Biking

  If you prefer biking, start in downtown Spokane and head north on the Spokane River Centennial Trail. This scenic route follows the river and connects to the Little Spokane River Natural Area. The ride is about 5 miles and should take roughly 30-40 minutes depending on your pace. Make sure your bike is in good condition and wear a helmet for safety. There are bike racks available at the park.

• Walking

  For adventurous souls, walking from Spokane can be an option. Starting from downtown Spokane, head north on N Howard St, then follow the Spokane River Centennial Trail. The walk is approximately 5 miles and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Ensure to wear comfortable shoes and carry water, as the trail can be rugged in some areas. This route offers beautiful views of the river and surrounding nature.
