If you are driving from downtown Parsons, head south on 5th Street toward Maple Avenue. Turn left onto Maple Avenue (WV-72 S) and continue for about 3 miles. You will then turn right onto Table Rock Trail. Follow Table Rock Trail for approximately 2 miles until you reach the trailhead parking area. Please note that there may be a small parking fee of around $5 to $10 depending on the season.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you can take a local bus service from Elkins to Parsons. Once you arrive in Parsons, you can call a local taxi service to take you to the Table Rock Trailhead, which is approximately 10 minutes away from the center of town. Taxi fares may vary, but expect to pay around $15 to $20 for the ride.
Hiking
If you prefer to hike to Table Rock from Parsons, you can start at the intersection of Maple Avenue and 5th Street, then follow the road south until you reach WV-72 S. From there, it’s a scenic walk along the highway (about 3 miles) until you reach Table Rock Trail. Be prepared for a hike of approximately 2 miles on Table Rock Trail itself to reach the scenic overlook.
