Walking
From the center of Beckley, head southeast on Main Street toward 3rd Street. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Stanaford Road. Turn left onto Stanaford Road. After about 1.5 miles, you will see Piney Creek Preserve on your right. The entrance is marked, and you can follow the trail leading into the preserve.

Start at the Beckley Transit Center located at 1001 South Kanawha Street. Board the Route 2 bus heading towards Stanaford. Stay on the bus for about 15 minutes, and get off at the stop near Stanaford Mine Road.
