Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Beckley Convention Center located at 2001 S Eisenhower Dr, Beckley, WV 25801, exit the convention center and head north on South Eisenhower Drive. Walk until you reach the intersection with US-19 N. Cross over to the other side of the street and continue walking north. After about 0.5 miles, you'll reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto W. Main St. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach Shoemaker Square on your right side. This scenic park is a great spot for relaxation.

• Public Transit

  From the nearest bus stop at the Raleigh County Courthouse on 215 Main St, catch the local bus service that operates on Main Street. Take the bus heading north towards the Beckley VA Medical Center. Stay on the bus for approximately 5 stops. Get off at the stop closest to the intersection of W. Main St and South Kanawha St. From there, head east on W. Main St for about two blocks, and you will reach Shoemaker Square, which is located at the intersection of W. Main St and South Kanawha St. This park is a popular gathering spot in Beckley.

• Biking

  If you're renting a bike from one of the local rental shops downtown, start from the shop and head east on Main Street. Continue for about 0.6 miles, passing by various shops and cafes. As you approach the roundabout, take the second exit onto W. Main St. Follow this road for another 0.3 miles, and Shoemaker Square will be on your right. It's a pleasant bike ride, and there are bike racks available at the park.
