Getting There

• Walking

  From the center of Martinsburg, start at the intersection of King Street and Queen Street. Head north on Queen Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with W. Stephen Street. Turn left onto W. Stephen Street and continue for approximately 0.3 miles. At the next major intersection, turn right onto S. Raleigh Street. Walk straight for about 0.6 miles, passing through a residential area. Continue onto Tomahawk Road, which will eventually lead you to Tomahawk Spring, a historical landmark in the area.

• Bicycling

  Begin your journey at the Martinsburg Train Station. From there, take E. Burke Street east and then turn right onto S. Queen Street. Follow S. Queen Street until you reach W. Stephen Street and turn left. Continue on W. Stephen for about 0.3 miles and then take a right onto S. Raleigh Street. Cycle straight for approximately 0.6 miles, and then turn onto Tomahawk Road where you'll find Tomahawk Spring. Ensure to ride carefully along the roads as they may have vehicle traffic.

• Public Transit

  If you are near the Martinsburg Public Library, take the bus service provided by the Eastern Panhandle Transit Authority. Board the bus heading towards Tomahawk. You will need to transfer at the nearest bus stop at S. Raleigh Street. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to Tomahawk Spring. Just follow S. Raleigh Street, then turn onto Tomahawk Road to reach your destination.
