Getting There

Car
If you are traveling by car from the New River Gorge area, head south on US-19 from the Grandview area. Continue on US-19 for about 18 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 60. Take Route 60 East towards Ansted. After approximately 10 miles, you will arrive in Ansted. Look for Hawks Nest Road on your right. Turn onto Hawks Nest Road, and follow it for about 2 miles until you reach the Hawks Nest Dam, located at 49 Hawks Nest, Ansted, WV 25812. There is no entry fee to access the dam area.
