Car
If you are traveling by car within Seneca Rocks, start at the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center located at 10055 Seneca Rocks Rd, Seneca Rocks, WV 26884. From the Discovery Center, head northwest on Seneca Rocks Rd for about 1.5 miles. Look for the parking area on your right at the base of the trail to the Observation Deck. There is no entry fee for the park, but parking may have a small fee depending on the area you choose.
Hiking
Once you have parked, follow the well-marked trail to the Seneca Rocks Observation Deck. The trail is approximately 1 mile long and features some steep sections. It takes about 30 to 45 minutes to hike to the top depending on your pace. Make sure to wear sturdy shoes and carry water. The views from the deck are worth the effort!
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in this rural area. However, if you are staying in a larger town nearby such as Petersburg or Franklin, you may find local shuttle services or tour buses that offer trips to Seneca Rocks. Check with local tourism boards for available services. Once you arrive in Seneca Rocks, use the same instructions as above for hiking to the Observation Deck.
