    From any location in Blue Hills, head south on County Highway M. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach Governor Nelson State Park, located at 5140 Co Hwy M, Waunakee, WI 53597. Look for the park entrance on your right. There is a parking fee of $11 for Wisconsin residents and $16 for non-residents, which you can pay at the entrance.

  • Public Transportation

    If you're using public transportation, take the nearest bus to the Madison Metro Transit system. You can catch the bus at a local stop in Blue Hills to the downtown Madison area. From downtown Madison, transfer to Route 24 or Route 30 towards Waunakee. Get off at the stop closest to County Highway M, then walk approximately 1 mile to the park entrance. Be sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited on weekends.
