Walking
If you're starting from downtown Eau Claire, head north on South Barstow Street. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with East Grand Avenue. Turn left (west) onto East Grand Avenue and continue walking until you reach North Clairemont Avenue (Highway 53). Cross the highway and head north on North Clairemont Avenue. After about 1 mile, continue straight as North Clairemont Avenue becomes County Highway J. Follow County Highway J for about 2 miles. You will pass several parks and residential areas. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Chippewa Falls. Once you reach the intersection with State Highway 124, turn right and follow it until you arrive at Irvine Park Zoo, which will be on your right side.
