Getting There

  • Car

    From any point in Kettle Moraine State Forest, head towards Highway 67. Take Highway 67 North until you reach I-43 North. Merge onto I-43 North and continue for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 78 for Brown Deer Rd. Turn left onto E Brown Deer Rd. Continue on E Brown Deer Rd for about 5 miles until you reach the Schlitz Audubon Nature Center located at 1111 E Brown Deer Rd, Bayside, WI 53217.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, the nearest bus service is the Milwaukee County Transit System. You can take a bus from Kettle Moraine State Forest to Milwaukee. Once in Milwaukee, transfer to bus line 143 towards Brown Deer. Disembark at the Brown Deer Rd & 111th St stop. From there, it is a short walk (about 0.5 miles) to Schlitz Audubon Nature Center at 1111 E Brown Deer Rd. Be sure to check the bus schedules for exact timings and connections.
