Getting There

    To reach Apostle Islands National Lakeshore from Madeline Island, you will first need to take the Madeline Island Ferry. The ferry terminal is located at the southern tip of Madeline Island, near the town of La Pointe. Board the ferry at the dock and purchase a ticket (approximately $15 for a vehicle and $8 for each passenger, as of 2023). The ferry ride takes about 20 minutes and will take you to Bayfield, Wisconsin.

    Once you arrive in Bayfield, drive to Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. From the ferry terminal, turn left onto Washington Ave and follow it until you reach the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Visitor Center at 415 Washington Ave, Bayfield, WI 54814.
