For those who prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in La Pointe. Head south on Madeline Island Ferry Line and then turn left onto Big Bay Road. The trailhead will be about 1 mile down on your right. The ride is scenic and takes approximately 10-15 minutes.

If you are staying in La Pointe and wish to walk to Brownstone Trail, follow Madeline Island Ferry Line south. Turn left onto Big Bay Road and walk until you see the trail entrance on your right. The walk is roughly 1 mile and takes about 20-30 minutes. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way!
