Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from Laramie, head east on I-80 E for about 25 miles. Take exit 276 for Rock River. Merge onto WY-210 E and continue for about 9 miles until you reach Rock River. Once in Rock River, follow local signs directing you to Fossil Cabin, which is approximately 3 miles north of the town center.

  If you're coming from Cheyenne, take I-80 W for about 50 miles. Take exit 276 for Rock River. Merge onto WY-210 E, and as mentioned above, continue for about 9 miles until you reach Rock River. Follow the local signs to Fossil Cabin, which is about 3 miles north of the town.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, your best option is to take a Greyhound bus to Laramie. Once in Laramie, you can rent a car or check for local shuttle services to Rock River. There are limited options for direct public transport to Rock River, so driving or rideshare may be necessary to reach Fossil Cabin.

• Walking

  If you are in Rock River and want to walk to Fossil Cabin, head north from the town center along WY-210 E. It's a scenic walk, but be prepared for about 3 miles of walking on the roadside. Ensure you have suitable footwear and water, as this is a rural area with limited facilities.
