Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Laramie, start at the Laramie Public Library located at 310 S 8th St. Head east on E Custer St towards S 8th St, then turn left onto S 8th St. Walk north until you reach E Grand Ave. Turn right onto E Grand Ave and continue walking until you reach the intersection with US-287 N. Turn left onto US-287 N and continue walking for about 1 mile. After passing the local shops, you will see signs for the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument. Follow the signs and walk the short path to the monument located at 136 US Forest Service Rd 705 A, Laramie, WY 82070.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, start at the University of Wyoming campus. Exit the campus towards S 15th St and head south. Turn left onto E Grand Ave and continue until you reach US-287 N. Turn right onto US-287 N and bike north for approximately 1.5 miles. Look for the signs directing you to the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument, which is located at 136 US Forest Service Rd 705 A. The bike ride is mostly flat and offers a pleasant view of the surrounding area.

• Public Transit

  To reach the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Monument via public transit, first take the local bus from any stop in Laramie that connects to the Laramie Transit System. You will need to get off at the nearest stop to US-287 N. Once you arrive at the stop, walk north along US-287 N for about 1 mile.
