Getting There

Car

From Red Desert, head east on Highway 287 towards Lander. Continue on this highway for approximately 70 miles. As you approach the town of Alcova, look for the signs for WY-220. Turn left onto WY-220 and continue for about 10 miles. Independence Rock State Historic Site will be on your right. The site has ample parking available.
Public Transportation
