Walking
From the center of Chipata, head towards the Chipata Central Market. Once you reach the market, continue walking along the main road (Kawambwa Road) until you reach the junction with the Great East Road. Turn left onto Great East Road and walk for about 1.5 kilometers. You will come to a signpost indicating the direction to the Apollo Dam. Follow the sign, and after approximately 2 kilometers, you will reach a dirt path that leads to Apollo Dam. Follow this path, and you will arrive at the dam area.

Rent a bicycle from any local rental service in Chipata. Start at the Chipata Central Market and head towards the Great East Road via Kawambwa Road. Turn left onto Great East Road, cycling for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signpost that directs you to Apollo Dam. Follow that sign, cycling along the road for approximately 2 kilometers until you find the dirt path leading to the dam. Continue on this path until you reach Apollo Dam.
