Getting There

• Walking

  Start at the Kabwe Central Market, a central point in town. From the market, head south on Freedom Way. Continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and street vendors along the way, making it a vibrant walk. Keep an eye out for local landmarks such as the Kabwe Post Office on your left. After around 20 minutes of walking, you will reach the Broken Hill Man Monument located at 80 Freedom Way on your right. The monument is located near a small park area where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.

• Bicycling

  If you prefer to bike, start from the Kabwe Central Market. Rent a bicycle from a local vendor if you don’t have one. Head south on Freedom Way, and maintain a steady pace as you cycle for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by various shops and stalls. Look for the Kabwe Post Office on your left-hand side as a navigational reference. After about 10 minutes of cycling, you will see the Broken Hill Man Monument on your right at 80 Freedom Way. There is a small area to park your bike nearby.

• Public Transport (Minibus)

  To reach the Broken Hill Man Monument via public transport, head to the nearest minibus stop from your location in Kabwe. You can catch a minibus heading towards the Kabwe Central Market. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the market. Once you arrive at the market, exit and walk south along Freedom Way. The monument is about 1.5 kilometers away. You will see various shops and possibly street vendors along the way. Keep an eye out for the Kabwe Post Office on your left as a sign that you are getting close. The monument will be on your right at 80 Freedom Way.
