Walking
From the Kabwe central bus station, head southeast on Nkhwazi Rd towards the main street. When you reach the junction with the Great North Road (A1), turn left and walk for about 1 km. Along the way, you will pass several shops and local eateries, which are great for a quick snack. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Kafulamase Road. Turn right onto Kafulamase Road and follow it for about 2 km. You will notice the landscape changing as you approach the mountain. Look for signs or ask locals for directions to Kafulamase Prayer Mountain, which is situated towards the end of this road. The mountain is a known local landmark and should be visible as you get closer.
Bicycle
Starting from Kabwe central, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south along Nkhwazi Rd, and when you reach the Great North Road (A1), turn left. Cycle for about 1 km until you reach the junction with Kafulamase Road. Turn right here. Continue cycling for approximately 2 km on Kafulamase Road. The route is fairly straight and will lead you directly to the base of Kafulamase Prayer Mountain. Enjoy the scenic views as you ride, and don’t hesitate to stop and ask locals for further assistance if needed.
Motorbike Taxi (Boda Boda)
If you're in Kabwe, you can easily find a motorbike taxi (locally known as Boda Boda) at various spots around the city center. Negotiate a fare with the driver to take you to Kafulamase Prayer Mountain. The driver will likely take the same route as the bicycles, heading down Nkhwazi Rd, turning left onto the Great North Road (A1), and then right onto Kafulamase Road. The ride should take approximately 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. Ensure you mention 'Kafulamase Prayer Mountain' to the driver for clarity.
