Getting There

Walking
From the center of Kasama, head east on Great North Road (D14) towards the Kasama General Hospital. As you pass the hospital, continue straight for about 2 kilometers until you reach the junction at the D18 road. Turn right onto D18. Follow this road for about 5 kilometers. You will see signs for Mwela Rock Paintings along the way. Upon reaching the site, you may need to walk a short distance from the road to the entrance of the Mwela Rock Paintings.

Start from the Kasama main market area and head south towards D14 road. Once at D14, turn right and bike east. Keep cycling for approximately 2 kilometers until you reach the junction with D18. Turn right onto D18 and continue for about 5 kilometers. Look out for signage indicating Mwela Rock Paintings. You will have to park your bicycle and walk a short distance to the site entrance.
