Walking

Start at the Kitwe City Centre. Head south on Chibanga Road and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Independence Avenue. Continue walking down Independence Avenue until you reach the intersection with Kafue Road. Turn right onto Kafue Road. After a short distance, you will see Kaunda Square on your left, near the intersection of Kafue Road and the local market.

If you are near the Kitwe Bus Station, exit the station and head east on Kafue Road. Walk straight for about 1 kilometer. When you reach the intersection with Independence Avenue, cross the road and continue straight for another 500 meters. Kaunda Square will be on your right side, just past the local shops.

From the Nkana East area, walk towards the main road and catch a local minibus heading to the City Centre. Once you reach the City Centre, follow the directions from there to Kaunda Square as mentioned in the first option. Alternatively, you can walk directly south from Nkana East towards Independence Avenue, which will lead you to Kaunda Square.
