Getting There

Car
From the main entrance of Liuwa Plain National Park, head south on the main dirt road. Continue for approximately 30 kilometers until you reach the junction at 2XF9+4F. Turn left at the junction and proceed for another 10 kilometers. Lubonde camp will be on your right. Ensure your vehicle is suitable for rough terrain, as the roads can be challenging.

If you are using public transportation, start from the nearest town, which is Mongu. From Mongu, take a bus or shared taxi heading towards Liuwa Plain National Park. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the junction at 2XF9+4F. Once you arrive at the junction, you will need to arrange for a local taxi or a guide to take you the remaining 10 kilometers to Lubonde camp, as public transportation does not typically reach the camp directly. Expect to pay around 50 ZMW for the taxi ride.
