Walking
If you are starting from the central area of Lusaka, head towards Cairo Road. You can take a local bus or use a ride-hailing app to reach Cairo Road if it’s too far to walk. Once on Cairo Road, continue walking until you reach the intersection with Freedom Way. Turn left onto Freedom Way and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Independence Avenue. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Alick Nkhata Road. Turn right onto Alick Nkhata Road, and walk for about 1.5 kilometers until you see the Alick Nkhata Bridge.
Public Transport
From the central bus station in Lusaka, find a minibus heading towards Sunningdale. These minibuses are frequent and can be found at the bus station. Inform the conductor that you want to get off at Alick Nkhata Road. The journey will take about 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off, walk towards Alick Nkhata Road, and you should see the bridge ahead after a short walk.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from a local shop in Lusaka. Start from the central area and head towards Cairo Road. Cycle straight until you reach the intersection with Freedom Way and turn left. Continue cycling straight until you hit the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Independence Avenue and cycle until you reach Alick Nkhata Road. Turn right onto Alick Nkhata Road and continue cycling for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach Alick Nkhata Bridge.
