Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, start from the town of Solwezi, the capital of North-Western Province. Head southeast on the Zambezi Highway (A1) towards the town of Mwinilunga. After approximately 90 kilometers, you will reach a junction where you need to turn left onto the road leading to Lwanga. Continue driving for about 20 kilometers, and you will find Lwanga on your right. Ensure your vehicle has enough fuel, as service stations may be sparse along this route.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  From Solwezi, you can take a bus heading towards Mwinilunga. Buses depart regularly from the Solwezi bus station. The journey will take about 2-3 hours, and tickets usually cost around ZMW 50-70. Once you arrive at Mwinilunga, you will need to hire a local taxi or a motorbike taxi (known as 'boda boda') to take you to Lwanga. The fare for this taxi ride is approximately ZMW 30-50, depending on the negotiation and distance.

• Motorbike Taxi

  If you are already in Mwinilunga, you can directly hire a motorbike taxi to Lwanga. Make sure to agree on a fare before your trip; it should cost around ZMW 30-50. This method is quicker and allows you to navigate the more challenging terrains leading to Lwanga more efficiently.
