    If you are driving, start from the nearest major town, which is either Kasama or Mpika. From Kasama, head south on the T2 road towards Mpika. Approximately 120 kilometers along the T2, turn left onto the road marked towards Chonga. This road is a dirt road and may require a 4x4 vehicle depending on the weather conditions. Continue on this road for about 40 kilometers until you reach the entrance of Lochinvar National Park. Make sure to have your vehicle checked for any off-road capabilities before you set out.

    To reach Lochinvar National Park using public transport, take a bus from Kasama or Mpika to Chonga. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station in both towns.
