If you are driving within the Zambezi Basin, head towards the Lower Zambezi National Park. From the nearest major town, Lusaka, take the Great East Road (A3) towards Chipata. After approximately 70 km, take the turnoff to the south towards the Lower Zambezi area. Follow the signs towards the park entrance. Once you reach the park, continue following the main road until you see signs for Winterthorn Lodge. The lodge is located near the Zambezi River, providing scenic views.
Public Transportation
For those using public transport, take a bus from Lusaka to Chirundu. The journey takes about 2-3 hours and costs around ZMW 50-100. Once in Chirundu, you can hire a taxi or arrange for a local shuttle service to take you to Winterthorn Lodge. The taxi ride will take approximately 30 minutes and may cost between ZMW 200-300.
