Car
If you are traveling by car within the Eastern Highlands, start by navigating to Vumba. From the town of Mutare, take the Bvumba Road (A4) towards Vumba. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach a junction; keep right to continue on the A4. After about 5 km, look for the signs towards Marindi Falls. Follow the gravel road for about 2 km until you reach the designated parking area near the falls.
Public Transport
To reach Marindi Falls using public transport, first take a bus or shared taxi from Mutare to Vumba. Buses to Vumba depart regularly from the Mutare bus station. Once in Vumba, you will need to hire a local taxi or arrange for a private vehicle to take you to Marindi Falls, as public transport does not go directly to the falls. Make sure to negotiate a fare with the taxi driver beforehand; expect to pay around $10-15 USD for the trip.
Walking
If you are staying in Vumba and prefer to walk to Marindi Falls, it is approximately a 3 km hike from the center of Vumba. Follow the main road towards the falls; be prepared for some steep sections. Ensure you wear appropriate footwear and carry water, as the hike can take about 45 minutes to an hour depending on your fitness level.
